FRANCE – Provence and Camargue Gallery
Provence is a region of South eastern France on the Mediterranean sea. It’s really one of the most beautiful regions in France, well known for the variety of different landscapes, for the important history, for the Popes of Avignon, for the small medioeval villages and for good wine and food. Stunning monasteries surrounded by immense fields of lavender will catch your attention, as well as they did with all the painters who have been inspired there for their masterpieces.
Camargue is the Western Europe’s largest river delta. It’s a vast plain comprising large brine lagoons, cut off from the sea by sandbars and encircled by reed-covered marshes. Here live more than 400 species of birds, especially the greater flamingo. This region is also famous for the bulls and the Camargue horses.
